Austin was a British vehicle manufacturer which was founded in 1905 and then merged with Morris Motors Limited in 1952. Their ‘Baby Austin’ economy car was hugely popular in both Britain and abroad back in the 1920’s. The Austin Champ was the civilian version of a British Army vehicle and everyone recognises the FX4 as the classic Black Cab. After the Second World War, Austin’s first new car was produced and it was called the Sixteen.
